Design Change and Repair Certification Specialist

Oaklands Global is currently recruiting a Design Change and Repair Certification Specialist on behalf of our reputable business aviation client based in Luton. This is a permanent position.

The ideal candidate will be able to work under minimal supervision and perform a variety of engineering tasks associated with Type Design Change and Repair certification projects under, EASA and/or other NCAA. Primary responsibilities include the gathering, organising, generating, reviewing and processing of engineering documentation associated with Type Design Change and Repair certification and/or other regulatory approvals projects.

Key skills, responsibilities and experience:


- Creates & reviews; Design Change and Repair certification packages prior to submission for approval for completeness and adherence to the established requirements. Makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative to ensure Design Change and Repair documentation is prepared and processed in accordance with approved procedures.
- Interfaces with local and foreign authorities on issues related to certification projects.
- Actively works to improve the department processes and ensures all work meets customer requirements and expectations.
- Maintains a current and up-to-date knowledge in the field in order to recommend process changes or innovations that will improve the quality, economy, and effectiveness of the company products.
- Familiar with working regulatory issues and coordinating closure of other certification issues. Assumes responsibility for assigned projects, tasks, or processes.
- Assists department manager in resolving standardisation issues. Keeps abreast of changes to regulatory requirements and guidance material.
- Must possess excellent attention to detail and display the ability to effectively adjust to changing engineering practices and procedures.
- Minimum travel required
