Structural Repair Technician (Sheet Metal) (f/m/d)
Structural Repair Technician (Composite) (f/m/d)

Your tasks

  • Perform Structural Repair in a workshop, on a wing, aircraft components and subassemblies, aircraft ground support equipment and locally manufactured items and facilities
  • The general operations performed in the Structural Repair Workshop are: composite repair and forming, sheet metal repair and forming, honeycomb repairs, manufacture of small tools and fixtures, heat treatment of metals, corrosion repairs, fabrication of engineering projects
  • Document work performed per appropriate manuals including, but not limited to, Inspection Procedures Manual (IPM), Structure Repair Manual (SRM) and/or Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM's)
  • Fabricate aircraft parts and ground support equipment per engineering drawings and specifications as required
  • Fabricate and install structural modifications on aircraft and/or major nacelle components
  • Performing structural repairs on composite / sheet metal components detached or attached to aircraft
  • Inspect parts as required including inspection for warranty consideration
  • Assist in conducting hidden damage inspection of aircraft structures

Your profile

  • Education: Aeronautical or technical school
  • Sheet metal / composite A/C Technical School or equivalent experience
  • Component training (OEM / OEM recognized Training Org. / Part 145 AMO)
  • Module M9, M10, FTS, EWIS
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Structure Mechanic
  • Basic knowledge of reading and interpreting aircraft blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and manuals
  • Basic knowledge of manuals necessary to perform job, including but not limited to, Inspection Procedures Manual (IPM), Structure Repair Manual (SRM) and/or Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM's), parts catalog, EASA/FAA documents and various technical information necessary to perform job
  • Basic knowledge in fabrication of sheet metal and/or composite components and assemblies, aircraft parts and ground support equipment per engineering drawings, sketches, advance designs, specifications
  • Experience with composite repair and forming, sheet metal repair and forming, honeycomb repairs, manufacture of small tools and fixtures, heat treatment of metals, corrosion repairs, fabrication of engineering projects
  • Experience to include planning, layout, fabrication of mechanical models, instruments, and other specialized hardware
  • Knowledge of English language
