Supervisor

  • Works under the direction of X manager/department
  • Responsible for organisation, administration, control and discipline
  • Responsible for the first stage of discussion of grievance or disciplinary issues.
  • Advises on or effects engagement of new employees and suspension or dismissal of employees.
  • Organise work and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
  • Supervision of first year apprentice?
  • Overseeing safe working of staff and contractors who are in the workshop
  • Ensure all staff undertake their duties in compliance with company policies and procedures at all times
  • To deliver all the requirements of company policies in particular those designed to improve people performance and engagement
  • To assist the workshop management by dealing with HR issues as they arise and in accordance with company procedures, escalating more serious matters as appropriate.
  • To instil and maintain a strong health and safety culture amongst the Engineering/workshop team with a good understanding of risk assessments
  • To be a member of the health and safety committee and ensure members are kept informed of key health and safety issues and potential solutions
