ALG is currently hiring an experienced CNC Machinist to join our renowned aviation client, an industry leader, with a well-established reputation based at Tullamarine Airport.

The candidate previously selected for this position was granted permanency, and the successful candidate will receive an offer for extended employment, with the potential of transitioning to a permanent role in the future.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure tools and parts meet engineering requirements, specifications, and tolerances for dimension, shape, contour, location, and coordination.
• Set up and operate any required machine tools in the fabrication of tooling to accomplish work assignments or operations.
• Study blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine methods or sequences of the operations required.
• Have experience working within fine margins.
• Perform regular checks on equipment and maintain it in good condition.

The successful candidate possesses the following attributes:

• Full qualification as a Machinist or Fitter and Turner (Desirable but not essential)
• Technical experience in fabrication/machining is highly desirable.
• Working experience with CNC machines, fitting/turning, and toolmaking.
• Must have experience in machinery maintenance and overseeing repairs.
• Shows attention to detail, is highly motivated, and is a self-starter who takes ownership of their work.
