Job description

The Corporate Health, Safety and Executive reports to the Director Safety, Security and Compliance and is responsible for the implementation of the company Health, Safety and Environmental policies and company organisational compliance requirements alongside the HR and Corporate teams.

 

Contract: Permanent.

Location: Maleth Aero Offices, Malta.

Hours: Office working hours.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • Corporate health, safety and environment
  • Manage the organisational health and safety policies and procedures to ensure the workplace remains a comfortable and safe environment for our teams.
  • Perform health and safety risk assessments on our working environments, destinations, and crew hotel accommodation, providing recommendations to the Senior Leadership team on health or medical precautions.
  • Create health and safety briefings on destinations so crew and management teams are able to comply with appropriate medical precautions.
  • Manage corporate health and safety related reports / events, conducting investigations and providing recommendations as required.
  • As per the EASA requirements, provide support and administration of the company support programmes, such as the Psychoactive Substance (Drug and Alcohol) policy and testing scheme, and Psychological Assessment and Peer Support Programmes for Flight Crew.
  • Corporate compliance
  • Act as the company GDPR representative ensuring compliance with our data protection policies and legal obligations.
  • Provide guidance and support to HR and Management teams on managing the social media policy from a data and GDPR compliance perspective.
  • Liaise with IT to monitor performance on data protection and cyber security threats, risk assessing threats as they become apparent.
  • In liaison with HR, conduct the employee / contractor background referencing processes and issuing of company IDs in a timely manner, ensuring we remain a secure company.
  • Assist HR in managing relevant company employment and contractor policies.
  • Provide administrative support to the Safety, Security and Compliance department.
  • Manage projects as instructed by the Director of Safety, Security and Compliance as required.

Qualifications

 

  • The ideal candidate will be an individual who puts safety and operational excellence above all else in their daily tasks.
  • Experience in corporate health, safety and compliance environments is essential.
  • Experience in airline environments is desirable but not essential.
