Role Introduction

 

Reports to: Lead Engineering Business Systems Engineer

Departments: ENG - Engineering

Engineering’s ambition is to be one of the world’s highest performing, customer centric and progressive engineering teams and the role of the Engineering Business Systems Training and HUB Executive is to ensure all ENG users have a correct level of training for Engineering IT systems and maintain the Departmental HUB. 

Key Responsibilities

 

The Engineering Business Systems team are responsible for the system adminstration function for Engineering Ultramain system, and other IT systems, required in Engineering to support the operation.

The team are Subject Matter Experts on the overall functionality of the Ultramain system and carry out necessary actions to improve the overall use of the system. They also ensure that users obtain the necessary training on the IT system, in order to efficently perform their roles.

Responsible for :

  • Delivering an Engineering IT systems training framework and syllabus, based on Engineering roles. To support new joiners and refresher training for existing staff.
  • Delivering standardised and updated IT system training content and media, through creating new, or consolidating existing training material.
  • Creating new training content from root causes arising from reported IT incidents, which are investigated by the EBS or IT teams.
  • Creating new training content when new IT systems functions are introduced into Engineering processes.
  • Manage the end to end process from training frequency, content, systems setup, maintenance of training accomplishment record by collaborating with other ENG business units to ensure necessary IT systems training is delivered to new joiners into Engineering.
  • System administration, content formatting and uploading of content in the department level of the Engineering HUB
  • Collaborate with the ENG Digital team, initiate new ideas proactively in order to introduce new and continuously improving framework to support two way communications for a department level communications portals.

Requirements:

Requirements

 

  • Typically 4 years' experience in training and/or communications.
  • Degree holder, preferably in a subject related to training or communications.\
  • Experience with current technology and digital tools for delivery of training and communications.
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, collaboration and communications skills and influencing capabilities.
  • Self-initiative, able to work independently on tasks. Suggest and make improvements to processes.
  • Good analytical and conceptual skills. Good data / document processing skills.
  • Good communication skills, able to cooperate with internal and external partners.
