Tasks

To our Engineering team we are looking for an experienced electrical engineer. The senior electrical engineer is responsible for the execution of the electrical system design for the controls and auxiliary systems of the gas turbine generators sets. This includes fuel supply, starting system, filtration and ventilation system, lube oil system as well as selection of electrical equipment and generators attached to the turbine. The main tasks are:

  • Low and medium voltage system design (e.g. control systems, breakers, transformers, motor controllers, circuit protections)
  • Generator design and selection
  • Integration of the gas turbine gen-set in clients’ electric grid
  • Supervise and check electrical drawing work
  • Review client requests and propose design solutions
  • Create project specification documentation
  • Provide technical support to Sales and Field Service

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Working knowledge in the design of low and medium voltage electrical systems
  • Knowledge about and ability to select motors, heaters, soft starters and VSD
  • Knowledge about measurement principles and the ability to select appropriate instruments
  • Ability to calculate standard electrical components
  • Able to specify and select generators in the range 0.3-15 kV
  • Understanding of P&ID’s
  • Knowledge of basic design and safety rules and SIL for electrical machinery design.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Knowledge about NEN 3140 is an advantage
  • Experience from simulations and power system studies is an advantage
  • Important competences are: Written and verbal communication skills, Results-driven, Initiative, Knowledge, Problem solving
