Job description

ALG presents a fantastic opportunity for a Drafting Engineer to join a respected aviation client based at Mascot Airport. As a valued team member, you will provide expert engineering advice and demonstrate sound judgment across various engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the precision and compliance of all drafted documents with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Review and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and project requirements.
  • Incorporate changes and modifications into existing drawings while maintaining up-to-date versions.
  • Assist in the preparation of accurate cost estimates, project schedules, and material lists.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address design challenges and offer innovative solutions.

Requirements:

  • Possess a bachelor's degree in aerospace/mechanical engineering.
  • Demonstrate proven experience as a Drafting Engineer, preferably in the aviation industry.
  • Exhibit proficiency in using 2Deditor (or AutoCAD)
  • Exhibit proficiency in 3D Solid Modelling, Adobe suite software, Illustrator, photoshop etc.
  • Possess a strong understanding of engineering principles, codes, and standards.
  • Display the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Showcase excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Exhibit effective communication and teamwork skills.
