Engine Maintenance Material Manager ensures the flow of aircraft materials for AC engines, including planning, sourcing and supply material at the lowest cost possible, monitor and report savings. The most important part of the EMM work is to implement established sourcing strategy for all engine materials in such a manner to achieve corporate targets.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Supply used LLP’s for all AC engines.
  • Manage annual plan requirements for LLP’s by engine event and maintain it throughout the entire year. 
  • Report the spending and the savings to the engine team and senior management by engine event every week.
  • Report stock levels on LLP’s, create or change kitting by engine event and supply the required material in time and in the right location.
  • Source the engine market for used LLP’s, including negotiate with vendors to obtain lowest price for value.
  • Obtain all necessary documents and coordinate the internal review & approvals by stakeholder such as, Quality, Engineering and Airworthiness.  
  • Evaluate each engine event materials estimate and to find possible savings to be made by supplying from other sources.
  • Launch RFQ’s and RFP’s for engine materials and to share the information with the engine team.
  • Create requisitions for all material requirements and to find sources internal with the AC supply chain and external with AC vendors.
  • Maintain the material requirements list accuracy and expedite the requirements.
  • Coordinate the unserviceable material return from engine MRO sites and to provide all the shipping details for the serviceable supplied material.
  • Find new vendors for engine material and, have them setup in Trax and maintain the engine material vendor list accurate.
  • Create orders, expedite, clear receiving discrepancies and supply the material to the engine requirements.
  • Report status of all spending, savings and changes in material supply.
  • Update parts status in Trax (RTS) for parts at MRO only
  • Receive material Transfer Orders in Trax at MRO only
  • Update Pack & Ship items as received in Trax at MRO only
  • Manual Issue items to Shop Work Orders in Trax at MRO only
  • MRO Shop work order creation in Trax

Qualifications

  • A minimum 5 years of experience in commercial aircraft engine maintenance either in a shop, line, records or regulatory compliance environment. 
  • Experience with contract administration or with records discrepancy management is an asset
  • Familiar with a variety of the industry’s concepts, practices, and procedures. 
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills particularly for building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Capable of relying on extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.  Able to work with limited supervision.
  • Capable of performing a variety of tasks 
  • Ability to travel outside of Canada and be on-site for short periods.
  • Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team with minimal supervision and must have strong organizational skills with an aptitude to juggle priorities to meet deadlines. 
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
