Vista is expanding its Part 145 network, rebranding all facilities to ‘Vista Aircraft Maintenance’ during 2023. Our locations include Base Maintenance facilities in Farnborough (Dassault Aviation Business Services), Paris Le Bourget (Dassault Aviation Business Services), Munich (MCM Munich), Baden Baden (Air Hamburg Technik), Van Nuys (JetWorx) and Bay City (Red Wing Aircraft Maintenance) with additional Line Stations in Malta, Nice and Luton and Mobile Repair Teams in South Florida and the New York area.

 

We are recruiting an experienced Quality and Safety Manager to join our team in Farnborough.

Your Responsibilities

  • Day to day running of the Quality system for EASA Part 145;
  • Hosting external audits from clients and regulatory bodies;
  • Ensuring that internal and supplier audits are completed to the audit schedule as required;
  • Classification and analysis of the safety reports collected via the Safety Reporting System;
  • Identification and management of the maintenance safety issues;
  • Production of statistics using the most appropriate visualization techniques;
  • Creation of internal safety promotion publications;
  • Execution of risk assessments;
  • Day to day Safety Department activities and research;
  • Leading product and system failure investigations, providing appropriate corrective and preventive actions;
  • Documenting processes, procedures, local instructions, and forms for the company with direct process ownership;
  • Overall performance and workflow for quality in line with regulatory compliance, quality, and standard company operating procedures;
  • Ensuring employees have the appropriate mandatory training for their role;
  • Lead the workplace with enthusiasm, perseverance, positive attitude, and flexibility to complement company standards;
  • Promote a Just Culture, adhere to company Health & Safety policies, and report all incidents and occurrences through the Company Safety Management;
  • Monitor performance and provide regular briefings, guidance, and support to the team as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a EASA Part 145 environment and deep understanding of the regulations;
  • Basic understanding of Engineering Principles;
  • Knowledge of the Concepts and Principles of Quality;
  • Understanding of Policies and Procedures; ability to communicate, lead and successfully deliver improvement initiatives;
  • Internal/External Auditing experience;
  • Understanding of Safety Management Systems (SMS) and implementation;
  • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken;
  • Have the right to work in the United Kingdom without restriction;
  • Must be eligible for an airside pass;
  • Be highly motivated, a great collaborator with an elevated level of diligence.

Advantageous to have 

  • AS9120/AS9110 experience;
  • ICAO standards and European requirements and provisions on safety management;
    (ii) Safety investigation techniques;
    (iii) Safety reporting systems;
    (iv) Data management, analytical and critical thinking skills;
    (v) Professional integrity;
    (vi) Risk Assessment techniques.
