Job description

Role Overview

A temporary vacancy for a Digital Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Manager has arisen within Airbus in Filton. You will join the Digital & Information Management (D&IM) strategic sourcing & software licences governance team, whose responsibilities are the Digital & IM sourcing strategy, call for tender & operational contracts and software licence management.

This role will involve some travels for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Work in collaboration with IM domains and Procurement across Airbus divisions
  • Contribute to secure the D&IM supply chain for digital services and software while transforming it for preparing the future. About the role
  • Support several activities such as:
  • Support operational sourcing/licence management activities including governance boards to foster rationalisation & increase business value
  • Support operational supply chain monitoring guidelines
  • Drive the continuous improvement of our way of working including monitoring of our strategic suppliers performance in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Foster synergies on software lifecycle management & sourcing culture through best practices sharing

Skill Set

Essential

  • Agile, proactive and inquisitive
  • Experienced in leading multi-functional teams with robust stakeholder management skills
  • Willing to speak up & able to adjust communication style to all levels of the organisation
  • Business acumen to understand the impact of Digital & IM challenges
  • Understanding of software lifecycle management, procurement & supplier management processes and Contract management experience
  • High level of emotional intelligence as well as good listening and coaching skills

Desirable

  • Knowledge of IS/IT processes & digital trends (Cloud, SaaS,..)
  • Negotiation level of English, German or French
