Job description

Zenon is pleased to be assisting a well-established African airline in their search for a Boeing Fleet Maintenance Manager for 12 month rolling contracts.

The successful candidate will be managing fleet teams in order to ensure the implementation of developed policies, procedures and achievement of fleet operational objectives whilst complying with the clients and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with internal/external customers on business requirements, progress status of the fleet serviceability, limitation of aircrafts and delays.
• Monthly/Quarterly planning of resources, training, and activities of various fleet teams. 
• Resolve fleet operational issues relating to administration and staff, escalations and deviations.
• Escalate issues relating to improvement of policies and procedures
• Manage and coordinate resources including tools, in order to ensure the execution of repair & replacement processes, meet regulatory and fleet operational requirements. 
• Provide a structured approach to resolution of technical issues related to complex defects and modification programs.
• Implement use of web based analytical tools to predict and prevent Aircraft significant defects.
• Review the audit/inspection reports, execute short term corrective action and provide recommendations for long term corrective action.
• Manage contracted maintenance agreements for the fleet.
• Determine and monitor the operating costs for the aircraft fleet.
• Report incidents / accident occurrences as per company procedures
• Ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded accurately & signed for in order to maintain correct & up to date aircraft history /data              
• Adhere to the company safety, health, and environmental policy
• Supervise and Develop Senior Engineers for improved competency/ efficiency

Requirements:

Requirements:

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Aeronautical/Instrumentation)
• At least 10 years aircraft maintenance experience, 3 years of which should be as a Senior engineer/Supervisor.
• Basic License (B1/B2) plus approval on B737 Classic and B777 aircraft type.
• Specialist Knowledge of Aircraft Systems
• Specialist Knowledge of Aviation Legislation/Regulations
• Proficiency in computer applications and MRO system
• Specialist Knowledge of Industrial Safety Standards
• Human factors application
