Reporting to the Manager, Maintenance & Reliability – Cargo, the incumbent is responsible for all day of operational activities related to the equipment and facilities within their region.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Act as the main point of contact with Ground Service Equipment (GSE) and Corporate Real Estate (CRE) teams in their region.
  • Ensure adherence to maintenance contracts.
  • Participate in the transition of projects and process improvements from development to functional implementation and ownership.  
  • Manage environmental compliance at cargo stations within their region.  Ensure all spills are handled, disposed of, and records are kept up to corporate standards.
  • Liaise with our Corporate Real Estate partners to ensure projects and/or repairs to cargo facilities are completed on time and within budget.  
  • Ensure CRE provides effective cleaning services at each facility.
  • Ensure safety and security standards are consistently maintained throughout the facilities.  Work with internal audit teams to ensure stations pass all station audits and fix any outstanding items. 
  • Work with the respective Airport Authority for any building related requirements and contracts.
  • Support the procurement of ground handling equipment with our Ground Support Equipment team.
  • Track and trend daily GSE inspection reports from each station ensure compliance.
  • Advocate on station’s behalf with the local Ground Support Equipment team to ensure preventative maintenance intervals and corrective maintenance is completed on time.
  • Control costs and seek opportunities to mitigate initial, as well as ongoing operational costs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders ensuring effective business relationships and service agreements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or College diploma
  • 3+ years of work experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and Implement action plans that achieve objectives.
  • Delivers with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work well with peers, clients, and all levels of management.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to influence and negotiate mutually acceptable solutions in the context of conflicts.
  • Thorough knowledge of cargo and/or warehouse handling processes and procedures.
  • Solid operational background
  • Familiar with Health and Safety standards and regulatory requirements as related to airport/airline operations.
  • Recognized ability to work under pressure, handle stressful situations and maintain flexibility.
  • Strong presentation skills with solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel when required, including international destinations.
