The Ancillary Revenues Manager – Air is responsible for analyzing the performance of air related ancillary sales and identify opportunities to increase revenues by adjusting existing products and/or proposing new products. This position reports to the Manager Ancillary Revenues - Air.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop reporting metrics to track Air Ancillary performance and report on progress.
  • Analyze sales data to identify opportunities to grow air ancillary revenues by adjusting pricing strategy for products such as, but not limited to, seats, bags, and upgrades.
  • Provide timely post audits of tactical ancillary offers to improve future performance.
  • Provide analysis in concert with CRM to develop relevant and revenue positive customer centric post purchase ancillary offers.
  • Analyze point of sale data to recommend changes to product offering / pricing at each various customer touch points.
  • Analyze ancillary usage within fare brands and make recommendations on how to adjust ancillary mix between fare brands to match customer demands and generate up sell opportunities.
  • Analyze premium cabin usage and provide recommendations to limit seat spoilage by adjusting Last minute upgrade prices.
  • Work closely with the Fare Implementation, Merchandizing and Revenue Management team to ensure distribution of ancillaries is in line with pricing objectives.
  • Work in collaboration with various teams, Marketing, Ecommerce, to align and initiate various campaigns, changes to the web, A&B testing. 
  • Work with partner airlines where appropriate to analyze ancillary sales between carriers.
  • Keep abreast of competitive changes and industry developments to capitalize on opportunities to grow tariff related Ancillary Revenues.
  • Stay abreast of Legal and regulatory requirements as they pertain to the sale of Ancillaries.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders within Air Canada to ensure the development of ancillary products remain consistent with our overall customer value proposition and commercial objectives.

Qualifications

  • University degree or 3+ years of relevant work experience 
  • Experience in developing, implementing and monitoring a pricing strategy
  • Hands-on team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Action/results oriented, analytical with strong problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter and ability to work under pressure with changing priorities.
  • Ability to prioritize heavy workloads comprised of routines and adhoc tasks
