Job description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Deputy Compliance/ Security Manager to join one of our Growing Aviation Clients on the beautiful island of Malta!

As Compliance Manager you will be responsible for the development of an effective Compliance Monitoring System to ensure compliance with the applicable requirements, policies and procedures, and to request action where non-compliance are identified. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the compliance monitoring program is continually reviewed and improved.

As Security Manager You will be responsible for the implementation and supervision of the aviation security measures as described in its security programme and for the the management and control of the company's security programme.

Responsibilities:

  • Continuous monitoring of all EASA regulations and Company Authority issued documents for new publications/changes that may affect the operations of the operator.
  • Assist the Compliance Manager in maintaining a continuous feedback system to the Accountable Manager with regards to the performance and adequacy of the Compliance System ensuring that non-compliance is identified, root causes analysed, and the appropriate corrective/preventative actions are established.
  • Ensuring that the operator compliance monitoring processes and procedures are aligned with Group Policy

Requirements:

  • Malta citizen / Resident (Mandatory)
  • minimum 5 years relevant work experience of which at least 2 should be from the aeronautical industry in compliance monitoring
  • a relevant engineering degree or an aircraft maintenance technician qualification with additional education acceptable to the TM-CAD
  • Proven Quality/Compliance track record of audit planning and 24 months experience as auditor
  • knowledge of aircraft operation and maintenance management and associated quality principles with a minimum of 5 years experience
  • knowledge of the applicable regulations pertaining Air Operations and Continuing Airworthiness
  • practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practises
  • Knowledge of the relevant sample of the DHC6 type of aircraft gained through a formalised training course. These courses should be at least at the level equivalent to Part-66 appendix III Level 1 General Familiarisation and could be provided by a Part- 147 organisation, by the manufacturer, or by any other organisation accepted by the competent authority.
