Job description

Job Title: Material Planner

Reports to: Purchasing Leader

Location: Shannon Airport, Shannon, Co. Clare

CAE Parc aviation are currently recruiting for a renowned aviation solution provider. The company has a strong reputation of providing customers with a complete range of solutions including aircraft maintenance & modifications, technical, engineering and design services, logistics and material solutions and international training.

Job Purpose:

The main objective of this role to take the materials planning for all aircraft projects to meet production goals/deliverables. This includes the planning, scheduling, and purchasing of all materials for all projects.

Essential Job Function:

      Determining the required materials and generating purchase orders.

Ensuring materials meet specifications, quality standards, and are cost-efficient.

Ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production.

Coordinating with other departments regarding production goals, timelines, supplier payments, etc.

Tracking production volume and monitoring customer demand patterns and purchasing trends.

Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials and products.

Liaising with customers, suppliers, and distributors.

Reviews MPD Tasks/Customer supplied data for future Aircraft to ensure adequate stocks.

Managing inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.

Preparing cost estimates and performance reports.

Processing the following order types: Purchase Orders, Repair Orders, Exchange Orders, Service Orders, Non-Stock Orders

Candidate Requirements

      A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in a purchasing/planning and supply chain role ideally within the aviation industry is required.

Qualification in IIPMM / APICS Purchasing, Logistics and/or Supply Chain is desirable with previous experience as a Material Planner an advantage.

Strong IT Skills with experience working with modern ERP Systems.

Have a consistent high level of commercial awareness and a focus on continuous improvement.

Demonstrates and is passionate about delivering solutions for both our production and our customers. Be aware of customer needs and makes decisions with production and customer in mind at all times.

Have a strong work ethic, be reliable, focussed, self-motivated with a positive attitude.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail.

Good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
