Role Introduction

 

Reports to: Head of Integrated Operation Centre Transformation Programme

Department: IOC - Integrated Operations Centre

This role is key to the pre-ops “tactical planning" function of the Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) and will play a critical role in enabling IOC to proactively mitigate potential disruptions and identify schedule optimizations opportunities.
This role will support the regular pre-ops review and post-ops analysis, conduct operations data analysis and facilitate other adhoc analytical tasks.
The individual selected for this role will have the opportunity to work closely with the Transformation team to design and implement the future Tactical Planning operating model as well as the supporting technology solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Support the daily pre-ops review by identifying, analysing disruption risks within the IOC operations window and helping working out the optimal risk response.
  • Work closely with other teams (IOC Ops Controllers, Maintenance Control Planning, Airline Planning) to coordinate the daily pre-Ops meeting and to continuously try anticipating disruptions / optimizing airline schedule within the “Operations Window".
  • Contribute to post-ops analysis and identification of lesson learned/ insights to support Continuous Improvement of the Tactical Planning function.
  • Collaborate with Operational teams, Transformation team, Technology teams and Data Science teams to capture business requirements and design IT solutions to support tactical planning function, e.g. Dashboards, Risks Management features, Risk predictions tools, Optimizers...
  • Contribute to shape the future Tactical Planning Operating Model, conduct change management activities, and support the team growth.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Bachelor degree - with a preference in STEM disciplines such as Mathematics,
  • Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
  • Previous experience as a data analyst (or in roles requiring extensive data analysis) is preferred
  • Previous experience in Airlines operations is preferred
  • Previous experience in transformation projects would be ideal, e.g. Business Process Reengineering, Lean, involvement in delivery of technology solutions)

Skills

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups and conduct briefing, interview sessions as required.
  • Ability to produce comprehensive reports and case studies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
