Role Introduction

 

Reports to: COE Planning Manager

Department: ENG - Engineering

CoE is a key enabler to the Line Maintenance Transformation (LMT), a fundamental change to the HK Line maintenance model that employs a collaborative approach to achieve a safe, on-time and customer focused operation that meets airline requirements, customer expectations and drive business efficiencies and productivity through continuous improvement.

CoE Senior Planning Engineer is responsible for managing the aircraft schedule / rotation to maintain compliance on all planned LM maintenance requirements either in HKG or outstations and act as key interface between Line Maintenance operation and the Airline Integrated Operation Centre in dealing with all the ad hoc flight schedule change or operational disruption which impact upon the planned maintenance requirement to ensure continuous compliance. 
 

Key Responsibilities

 

Responsible for :
 

  • planning of the High Frequency tasks in HKG or outstations, monitoring and controlling compliance of all LM maintenance work packages or requirement in order to maintain continued airworthiness of the aircraft
  • working closely with the Maintenance Repair Organisation in HKG and line stations to ensure work load are well balanced and with the agreed limit to drive the operational efficiency.
  • Monitor all Line Maintenance activities to ensure safe and timely completion of all maintenance in LM to achieve On-time performance and aircraft availability to support the operation.
  • Reviewing Aircraft seasonal flight schedule to ensure adequate maintenance ground allocated for LM inputs and liaising with Airline Planning to generate slots of LM Ad Hoc maintenance requirements
  • Coordinating with Airline Integrated Operation Centre in managing and dealing with any change to the planned line maintenance tasks as a result of any ad hoc flight schedule change or operational disruption.
  • Managing data collection and information gathering for effective feedback process.
  • driving for continuously improvement on planning processes and systems so as to enhance the operational efficiency     

Requirements:

Requirements

 

  • Engineering degree or Aircraft Maintenance Licence is preferred
  • Typically 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in aspects of aircraft maintenance control planning or aircraft maintenance planning
  • Experience in delivering business process improvement
  • Ability to build strong and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Good knowledge of Cathay Pacific maintenance and engineering systems preferable
