SMARTLYNX AIRLINES CREWING OU is looking for

Nominated Person Crew Member Training to join the Smartlynx Airlines Malta team.

 

This person will be responsible for all matters concerning the safety, legality, economy, and efficiency of Flight and Cabin Crew Training.

 

Our group airlines specialize in full-service ACMI aircraft lease services and are acknowledged ACMI, cargo, and charter providers in the EU on Airbus A320, A321, A330, and Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain oversight on regulatory compliance within applicable parts of Air Crew and Air Ops as well as IOSA standards for Flight and Cabin Crew training.
  • Implement policies which enable safe and efficient training and ultimately flight operations under the provisions of the AOC.
  • Fulfill the duties of Nominated Person Crew Member Training as defined by EASA.
  • Ensure the timely availability of properly trained and qualified pilots in cooperation with Flight Operations and Crew Planning.
  • Manage SmartLynx’ relationships and on-going dialogue with appropriate authorities.
  • Ensure that the airline’s training programs adhere to all corporate policies and regulatory requirements. Implement changes to training programs and procedures as required by regulatory authorities and the Flight Operations Director.
  •  Administrate the evaluation and approval process of flight simulator facilities that are used for company training purposes.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Crew Training Director on matters related to Crew Training in the airline.
  • Proactively seek and suggest cost reduction and efficiency initiatives.
  • Deploy continuous process improvement and ensure that all operations and projects are carried out in a timely, financially sound manner consistent with the airline’s goals.
  • Act as an ambassador for the Company within the pilot community.
  • Identify issues in the Crew Training area that may contribute to recurring operational reliability challenges in the business and take action to address them in a proactive manner.
  • Provide advice to the Flight Operations Director to help address operating issues as they occur.
  • Participate in Safety Review Board meetings and Safety Action Groups and regular Operations Management meetings,
  • Ensure the company Operations Manual Part D conform to the relevant regulations.
  • Attend relevant industry forums and conferences.

Requirements:

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree, ideally an M.B.A. or other graduate degree within a relevant field or as a substitute, extensive experience paired with relevant professional qualifications within the aviation industry.
  • An experienced airline professional who meets the minimum requirements of ORO.AOC.135.
  • Valid or expired flight crew license and the associated ratings appropriate to the type of operation conducted under the AOC.
  • IT literacy and well versed in the normal MS office software such as Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint as a minimum.
  • TRI/TRE privilege(s) and previous experience within Training Department will be considered as advantage.
