Job description

We are BAA Training, one of the TOP 3 largest independent aviation training centers in Europe. After starting to expand in Vietnam, China and Spain, we are searching for the HEAD OF MAINTENANCE in our base in Spain.

 

We promise a highly challenging field and wide scope of responsibilities which covers:

  • Controlling and ensuring safe, high quality and efficient operation of the technical base;
  • Leading a team of engineers and mechanics;
  • Ensuring airplanes are prepared for flights in a timely manner;
  • Collaborating with aircraft maintenance organizations, manufacturers of aircrafts and spare part providers;
  • Ensuring proper record keeping of airplanes and aircraft assemblies with respect to their registration, airworthiness, approval, etc .;
  • Ensuring the necessary infrastructure for the smooth conduct of flight training including timely contracts with aerodromes in operation, provision of training facilities at the base aerodrome, storage and security of existing aircraft, hangar rental;
  • Working according to approved company procedures;
  • Working with company’s IT systems to monitor and ensure a smooth Maintenance process;
  • Participating in daily meetings based on Lean principle;
  • Setting and achieving short-term and long-term goals in accordance with the company’s strategic goals;
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities assigned by direct manager;

Requirements:

We dream about a team member who has:

  • Experience working with EASA Part 66 B1.2 aircrafts;
  • Experience in a managerial position related to aircraft maintenance;
  • 5 years of work experience in aviation (3 of them – in aircraft maintenance);
  • Knowledge of EASA Part CAO, EASA Part ML, EASA Part M and EASA Part 145;
  • Discipline, excellent time management skills, strong motivation and ability to work in a team;
  • Good English language skills (written and spoken);
  • Ability to work independently and is self-motivated and willing to take ownership;
  • Knows how to manage several complex projects at once;
  • Has analytical and conceptual thinking skills;
  • Has willingness to share skills, knowledge and expertise;
