Job description

CAE Parc aviation are currently recruiting for Simulator Maintenance Manager for our client in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Type of Job: Permanent.

Location: Almaty, Kazakhstan.

The maintenance manager must have the following skills and experience:

  • Proven extensive Full Flight Simulator technical knowledge and ability to solve complex technical problems.
  • Able to solve practical problems and deal with situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Operational experience at different training centers around the world.
  • Management experience and ability to lead and develop the maintenance team.
  • Experience in supervisory role of acceptance and National Aviation Authority (NAA) qualification of full flight simulators.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Thorough understanding and practical application of EASA FSTD requirements and standards.
  • Very good command of the English language

Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • The operation of the simulator training center has 7-9 technician(s).
  • Manage, mentor and lead the team of maintenance engineers.
  • Provide on-the-job training and continued knowledge sharing, as required, to existing and potential new maintenance engineers.
  • Operating and Maintaining training devices to EASA standards.
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and coordinate all training device maintenance (corrective & preventive) functions and activities.
  • Monitor and maintain spares and support equipment inventory, through repair or replacement, to ensure training devices are and remain ready for training with minimum downtime.
  • Plan, coordinate and control National Aviation Authority (NAA) recurrent and special inspections.
  • Plan, support and oversee the requalification of training devices to EASA standards
  • Coordinate with Training Device Manufacturer (TDM) and manage the integration of training device updates and modifications (software & hardware) to stay current with aircraft configuration and/or to improve simulator operability.
  • Set-up and maintain the training center Quality System
  • Conduct quality control inspections
  • Ensuring relevant documentation is in place and remains up to date
  • Advice on the integration of the FFS on the existing planning & rostering system and maintenance programme tools
  • Support and advise in the recruitment of FFS maintenance engineers
  • Prepare, submit and monitor the annual budget for the operation and maintenance of the training devices
  • Be the primary liaison between and Training Device Manufacturer (TDM) for all enquiries and requests
  • Support the Training Department and liaise with Quality Assurance department
