Job description

Zenon is delighted to be supporting a bespoke VIP Operator to source a Flight Operations Officer for their facilities based in Hampshire.

Key Responsibilities:-

  • Manage the flight schedule to achieve a safe and efficient flying programme via Air Ops.
  • Produce customer flight brief in collaboration with the Charter Sales department
  • Working closely with the Charter Manager, produce OFPs to ensure the best outcome for successful bids
  • Liaise with Chief pilot, Cabin services manager and Engineering, to ensure potential bids can be crewed successfully, including slip and double crewing
  • Secure optimum air traffic slots, EU SCR slots
  • Secure flight permits, landing and overflight, together with EU TCO permit
  • Plan and co-ordinate required changes to the flight schedule and liaise with relevant departments
  • Dispatch aircraft, using flight planning system, including LROPs
  • Carry out Flight Watch and provide regular updates to internal departments and customers, via SD Pro
  • Produce and file all company flight and trip plans and associated material as required
  • Manage all crew accommodation and transportation as required and liaise with crew
  • Responsible for coordinating and planning all daily operational activities essential to ensure all flights are operated safely, in accordance with company requirements, and on time
  • Carry out all administrative tasks to ensure full compliance

Minimum Skills and Experience:-

  • Essential up to date understanding of international and long-range flight planning, ETOPS, FTLs, weather reports & NOTAM’s
  • Recent Aviation Operations experience, preferably in an airlines operational control environment
  • Use of aviation specific computer software including flight planning and ops control
  • Effective interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
  • Proven problem solving, planning skills and proven ability to work under pressure
  • Possess professional, friendly, and customer-focused personality
  • Ability to provide customer focus queries in an out of hours environment
  • Appreciation of operating as an EU TCO operator and FAA Part 129, Canadian FAOC.
