Position: Cabin Services Manager

CAE Parc Aviation are excited to announce we are now accepting applications for a Cabin Services Manager position on behalf of our client, based in Australia, a low-cost airline specialising in regional leisure destinations, with a fleet of Boeing 737 MAX 8.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the Leadership and management of the Cabin Crew to deliver a safe, cost-effective and unique in-flight experience.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Has the freedom to act and make decisions on cabin crew-related activities including; making operational decisions based on safety, operational/commercial factors, and the ability to hire and develop employees in line with company policy.
  • Responsible for implementation of commercial and product related policies on flights.

The Cabin Crew Manager is responsible for:

  • All line cabin crew activities with an emphasis on safety, cost management and the development of a unique in-flight culture in cooperation with the Product Delivery Manager;
  • In coordination with the Product Delivery Manager, developing the customer service and in-flight commercial offerings with respect to cabin crew, reflecting the customer experience, cost based and price leadership focus;
  • Designing and delivering an in-flight product of superior quality and value for money to that offered by the competition while maintaining the cost targets of the Product Delivery budget;
  • In coordination with the Product Delivery Manager, creation and implementation of a unique customer engagement and service/cost culture across all Cabin Service areas with respect to recruitment, development and communication to line areas of Cabin Crew;
  • Creating and monitoring a system of work to meet/exceed the safety requirements and regulations as prescribed by CASA/regulatory authorities while conforming to operating standards at all times;
  • Conforming to all regulations with respect to occupational health and safety, food hygiene and standards as prescribed in legislation and adopted as policy;
  • Responsible for the development, implementation and training of Emergency Procedures for Flight Deck and Cabin Crew in accordance with the relevant CASA regulations and ensuring that this training is maintained compliant with said regulations;.
  • Ensure that Emergency Procedures training records and compliance are maintained for all Flight Deck and Cabin Crew;
  • In coordination with the Product Delivery Manager, oversight of the development and implementation of Departmental change programs;
  • Ongoing review, revision and distribution of operational documentation;
  • Provide leadership by example in identifying safety hazards and pro-actively pursuing solutions to maintain a safe work environment;
  • Ensure all direct reports understand their safety responsibilities and manage employee performance to meet relevant safety responsibilities;
  • Complying with safety in the workplace.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must have at least 5 years' experience in the aviation industry and 2 years in a similar role.
  • Candidates must be eligible to live and work in Australia in line with government regulations
