Job description
  • Support the Flight Operations digital operations infrastructure:

- Lead or participate in operations projects
- Analyze the effectiveness and use of the various Flight Operations systems
- Suggest professional and up-to-date improvements of the present Flight Operations systems and processes
- Review and optimize interaction between Aircraft systems and Flt. Ops Systems

  • Participate in the development of new cost effective aircraft communication methods such as 4G / 5G, WiFi, Satcom etc.
  • Promote innovation, initiate system / functionality improvement projects
  • Assist and contribute to the Flight Operations e-enabling efforts
  • Assist Flight Operations Managers in complying with the project management methodology
  • Maintain and administer the Electronic Flight Bags installed on CV fleet:

- by maintaining the EFB document library based on the weekly updates in coordination with all parties involved in the update process
- by administering the EFB application in close coordination with the Engineering, Navigation and Performance and Flight Operations Technical Pilots
- by interfacing with suppliers on EFB related issues
- by providing full business hours support for the EFB and aircraft connectivity
- by closely following and monitoring the TC / STC holder documentation and bulletins and acting as needed in consultation with relevant CLX departments
- by chairing a monthly EFB meeting and the maintaining the actions resulting from the meeting
- by maintaining and creating the relevant configuration files for the EFB
- by creating and editing the relevant EFB documentation such as the EFB manual

  • Participate in trainings on EFB and other regulations

    • Master degree (preferred) or Bachelor degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
    • Experience in the aviation industry in the field of Avionics Engineering, EFB Administration, Aircraft IT or Flight Operations will be considered as an advantage
    • Strong IT background, ideally in Mobile Information and Communication Technology, Mobile Network Management and Mobile Device Management
    • Project management skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
    • Fluency in written and spoken English; any other languages will be considered as an advantage
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Team player, flexible and willing to work on a variety of topics
    • Basic understanding of regulatory requirements related to airline operations will be an advantage

    Working conditions:

    • Permanent, full time position based in Luxembourg
    • Occasional travel might be required
    • Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection
