UPMC's Center for Emergency Medicine STAT MedEvac group is looking for a full-time Avionics Systems Integration Specialist. This is a Monday-Friday role with some on-call duty. Purpose:Manage helicopter fleet avionics inspections, repairs, and subscription services. Integrate new aircraft avionics systems to existing fleet. Manage avionics completion on newly purchased aircraft.Responsibilities:Provide current status of Avionics inspections for Aircraft fleet to Fixed Base ManagerSchedule and monitor aircraft fleet avionics upgradesMonitor all avionics systems license subscriptionsWork with Fixed Base Manager for STC and Form 337 approvalsMay perform 91.411 and 91.413 inspectionsProvide assistance to all technicians for electrical and avionics troubleshooting for aircraftDirect technicians on system installationsPerform as Primary Base Mechanic as neededQualifications Airframe and Powerplant license requiredFCC license or equivalent experience preferredInspection Authorization preferred5 years Aviation Maintenance experience requiredDigital two-way FM communication programming experienceFAR 91.411 and FAR 91.413 qualifiedKnowledge of ADS-B transponder programmingSTC development or Field Approved Form 337 experienceFlight Data Monitoring System integration experience Excellent Avionics and Electrical systems troubleshooting skillsExcellent electrical system repair skills4 axis autopilot system experience preferredPrevious Avionics system installation experienceAircraft ground-based computer systems knowledgeExcellent communication skillsPrevious Leadership experiencePrevious Helicopter experienceManagement of aircraft fleet system installation experience Experience on Helionix equipped aircraft to include Map and Nav Data uploads, Software loading, and Flight file downloading preferredGarmin Aviation systems integration preferredLicensure, Certifications, and Clearances:A LicenseAct 34UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/VeteranSalary Range: $29.80 to $50.31 / hour Union Position: No
