Aircraft Powertrain Mechanic II, Fort Indiantown Gap, PA, US ID#17765 Cherokee Nation Aerospace & Defense is a contract manufacturer and integrator of electro-mechanical assemblies, including distribution, kitting and the manufacturing of cable and wire harness assemblies. The CNAD manufacturing team is experienced with projects that require expertise in medium to complex integration of ground support, test, flight hardware and armament systems. CNAD is ISO9000:2000 and AS 9100 certified and can serve as a prime contractor on Department of Defense contracts or as a sub-contractor to large aerospace primes. Wholly owned by the Cherokee Nation, CNAD is part of the Cherokee Nation Businesses family of companies. SUMMARYMechanic II will be responsible for the support of all UH-60/CH-47 maintenance. The aircraft powertrain repairer is primarily responsible for inspecting and performing maintenance on aircraft powertrain systems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESIncludes the following: Repair powertrain quills, transmission adapting parts, rotary wing hubs and tanks Disassemble, repair, reassemble, adjust, balance and align powertrain systems Service and lubricate aircraft and subsystems Remove and install aircraft subsystem assemblies and components such as rotor systems, transmissions, drive trains Maintain facilities for storage of flammable and hazardous materials Prepare requests for turn-ins and repair parts Safely prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks and services Perform scheduled inspections and assist in performing special inspections Perform other duties as requested Prepare forms and records related to all maintenance performed on and off of ACFTI/A/W Army DA PAM 738-751. SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY Supervisory or management authority: Back shops supervisory. EDUCATION /EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or GED Tech school trained and I.E. Military/AP/Aviation Tech School or US Services connected school equivalent of Army 15D MOS.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESMust be able to work overtime and possibly on short notice. Must pass Pre-Employment Physical. To include a drug screen. Must be able to work inside and outside in all environmental conditions day, night, sunny, cloudy, rainy, snowy, cold climate and hot climate. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
