Av/Elec Bay Technician/Fitter (B3T) - Avionics Bay (Non Mech Bays)

About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit an AV/Elec Bay Technician/Fitter (B3T).

You'll be required to undertake all tasks pertinent to the maintenance and rectification of the Hawk aircraft components and calibration equipment.

You'll be tasked to carry out routine servicing, standard serviceability testing and calibration of components within your trade group.

The main tasks could include but not limited to:
* Carry out all authority level B tasks that do not require additional authorization criteria- subject to any limitations imposed by the authorizing authority
* Fulfil the limitations imposed as defined in the SQEP for this grade.
* Carry out first signature responsibilities and Sign 1st signature for tasked work within trade boundary
* The overall safety and security of equipment under his/her control and checking that all equipment required for tasking is available and reporting all deficiencies
* Carry out all authority level D tasks that do not require additional authorization criteria - subject to any limitations imposed by the authorizing authority EFO Operator to meet exceptional requirements
* Ensuring the completion of pre-printed work cards and the correct use of maintenance procedures
* Ensuring all tool control procedures IAW the relevant Acceptable Means of Compliance are followed
* Ensure that the work areas are kept clean and FOD free.
* Maintaining an effective changeover by debriefs or written log to provide a smooth transition and continuation of trade task's between each shift (Where/when applicable)
* Champion a culture of Near Miss and Error Reporting
* Maintaining engineering standards as detailed in MAOS MAI MRP PART 145 MAINTENANCE ORGANISATION EXPOSITION (MOE) & MRP 145 Approval Supporting Documents.

What do I need to do the role?

You'll need extensive industry experience, Basic Trade Principles Course, Training in an Electrical related discipline to City & Guilds 2675 Level 3 or equivalent, Hawk AV/ Electrical Systems Course, Full UK Driving License and Military aircraft technical training in an aircraft systems discipline.

What else do I need to know?
* The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
