Job description
My client is currently recruiting for an Infrastructure consultancy Project Manager to join their established team based in the North or Midlands of England. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing part of my cleints business where you will be based in Manchester/Birmingham and client office locations in these regions, working with clients in the Aviation, Highways, Rail, Utilities and Environmental sectors.
Key responsibilities include but will not be limited to:
Your role will be to lead the safe delivery of projects to achieve cost, time and quality objectives within corporate guidelines and to develop appropriate delivery and supply strategies and plans for specific projects.
You will manage key aspects of the project plan comprising designated work packages or projects, including the identification of gaps, conducting reviews and putting actions in place to ensure the programmes deliver on cost, to time and to the required standard.
You will assist the Company in discharging its duties under CDM Regulations 2015 (Construction, Design and Management Regulations).
Suitable candidates will hold the below experiences:
* Minimum of 5 years experience and knowledge of working within the Infrastructure sector
* Rail or Aviation background would be advantageous
* Educated to degree standard in related subject
* Membership of a relevant professional institute
* Extensive professional experience within a consultancy environment
* An excellent understanding of the principles of effective project and programme management. Prince2 or APM are preferred.
* Experience of management on contracts including the use of NEC3 (ECC and PSC) and sub-contractor/consultant management.
* Experience in working with stakeholders including Local Authorities, Aviation Companies, Highways England, Network Rail, TfL, DfT and Train Operating Companies. Ideally this will have included direct secondments to operating companies or service providers.
