Project Engineer II position is responsible for New Product Development Programs to customer technical requirements and procurement specifications and involvement in all phases of New Product Development.

Preliminary to Detailed Design of customer Line Replacement Units (LRUs)
Development Part Fabrication Technical Support
Qualification / Certification testing thru Entry-into-Service (EIS)
Sustaining Engineering Efforts
The primary objective for the Project Engineer II position is to provide technical leadership of New Product Development programs within the internal IPDT (Integrated Product Development Team; i.e. design engineers, design drafters, manufacturing engineering, test lab technicians, program managers, etc.) and external customer.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering. M.S. Preferred.
2- 8+ years of experience in metallic or composite ducting and motion compensator design per ARP 699 guidelines as Project / Systems Engineer, or equivalent experience in ECS (Environmental Control System), bleed air, or AMS (air management system) system or component design in the following industries:
Valves (pneumatic or electro mechanical)
Fuel Tank Inert Systems (FTIS, OBIGGS, OBOGGS, NGS, etc.)
Wing-Anti Ice Systems
Ram Air Systems
High Pressure or Low Pressure pneumatic systems
Experience with aircraft certification to EASA, Transport Canada, and/or FAA 14 CFR FAR 25 requirements.
Experience from program award (kick-off) to Milestones such as: PDR (Preliminary Design Review), CDR (Critical Design Review), PRR (Production Readiness Review), SOF (Safety of Flight), EIS (Entry-into-Service).
Understanding of the value of Project Management Skills with experience working with internal or external customers and resources.
Experience writing certification documentation, such as: ATP, QTP, QTR, etc.
Test experience per RTCA-DO/190 or MIL-STD-810 (vibration and environmental tests).
Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to read / support the creation of 3D models and 2D drawings with dimensioning and tolerance per ANSI/ASME Y14.5 standards.
Support manufacturing team during the Product Development Phase (i.e. initial design for manufacturability and redesigns, as required during the development phase).
Thorough understanding of industry specifications, such as MIL, AN, MS, NAS, ASTM, AMS, etc.
Preferred experience with sheet metal and/or composite manufacturing / forming processes.
Preferred experience with analysis tools such as FEA / FEM tools MSC NASTRAN / PATRAN, ANSYS, ATA NASTRAN / FEMAP.
CAD software (CATIA V5 or Solidworks).
Preferred test experience with LabVIEW data acquisition / control VIs.
25% or less travel.
