Northrop Grumman's Manned Aircraft Design Center of Excellence located in Melbourne Florida has an immediate opening for an experienced engineer specializing in mechanical system design and architecture. The chosen candidate will have a demonstrated ability to perform design and analysis of aircraft landing gear and/or general aircraft mechanisms (utilities, flight controls, uplocks etc.). This role requires an individual with demonstrated team leadership experience and the ability to perform mechanical system analysis and integration activities. Experience in the procurement of aircraft actuation hardware (electrically and hydraulically powered) with related supplier management skills is also desired.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 9 years' experience directly related to aircraft mechanical systems development and analysis.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret or Top Secret Clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering plus a Master of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or Technical Management, or an MBA. Experience with NX and TeamCenter. Active DOD Secret Clearance.
