Work in The MITRE Corporation's Center for Advanced Aviation System Development (CAASD) to provide enterprise and systems engineering and analysis support for Air Traffic Management systems. The position requires strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be self-motivated, willing to learn new things, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively with others. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.

Key Functions:

Works as part of a team of system engineers, analysts, and Air Traffic Control operational domain experts to help the FAA define and evaluate concepts and automation systems for future air traffic management applications. Applies enterprise and systems engineering principles and processes to aviation and air traffic control systems and early lifecycle concept engineering/development activities. For example, performing requirements analysis and synthesis, conducting functional analysis and allocation,assessing architectural alternatives, and performing concept and requirements validation activities related to advanced capabilities that improve the National Airspace System.

Required Qualifications:
