On 23 August 2017, the Air Force awarded Technology Maturation and Risk Reduction (TMRR) contracts to Raytheon Missile Systems, Tucson, Arizona and Lockheed-Martin Missiles and Fire Control, Orlando, Florida. The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) Nuclear Weapons Acquisition Division (AFNWC/NDB), which is resident at Eglin AFB, Florida, is the System Program Office (SPO) responsible for the acquisition. The Government is rapidly expanding the LRSO SPO, and has contracted with Torch Technologies, Inc., to provide engineering and engineering management Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) under the Technical and Management Advisory Services (TMAS) contract. Torch is seeking candidates for a broad spectrum of technical positions ranging from network system administration and Information Technology (IT) for a nationwide, secure network supporting the program, through the full spectrum of science and engineering disciplines.

Role and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide expertise in analyzing host aircraft and store compatibility requirements for integrating the LRSO weapon system onto the objective aircraft platform. He or she will apply an understanding of DoD, AF and common engineering/scientific principles, processes and procedures to improve performance of the weapons system while ensuring predefined system requirements are met. Candidates will utilize their knowledge of MIL-STD 1533 and 1760 protocols to develop platform-to-store interface control documents to ensure quick and reliable release/launch of the LRSO missile. In addition, they will support the analysis, testing and implementation of weapon and/or store deficiencies and associated corrective actions. Finally, they will apply an understanding of systems acquisition, system and sub-system level hardware and software integration, systems requirements analysis and allocation, computer systems architecture, and systems and subsystems T&E while developing, reviewing and updating applicable program documentation. Candidates will be expected to apply an understanding of aeronautical vehicle systems OFP-to-weapon logical interface capabilities to support the overarching weapon-to-platform integration efforts.
