Dynetics, is seeking a talented Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Avionics Products team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

This position will involve supporting electrical system design, circuit card design, cable design, FPGA code development, embedded level firmware development, engineering documentation, board level testing and debugging, and system level testing. System under design incorporate a combination of skillsets spanning digital, analog, mixed-signal, and RF applications.

This position will provide the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting projects in a fast-paced environment, with an emphasis on microcontroller-based embedded hardware and firmware products. The position will include significant interaction with other design engineers, project managers, technicians, circuit board layout personnel, and manufacturing personnel.

Basic Qualifications

This position requires a degree from an ABET School in Electrical or Computer Engineering. Either a BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with years relevant experience OR a Masters Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with +5 years relevant experience.

Relevant experience includes professional experience with electronics testing, debugging, and troubleshooting on the system or circuit level in hardware, firmware, or FPGA code.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Other Qualifications

Familiarity or experience with any of the following would be preferred:
  • Minimum GPA 3.5 or higher 2. Embedded FPGA and microcontroller-based hardware design
  • Interfacing to sensors and high speed mixed-signal components
  • Real-time embedded firmware and VHDL
  • Mentor Graphics DxDesigner schematic capture software or another schematic capture tool experience
  • Design for Manufacturability (DFM)

    Security Requirements

    Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
