About the team you are joining

You will be joining
the Aviation Security team in the Airport, Passenger, Cargo and Security (APCS)
Division.

What your day would be like

You will reporting to
the Head for Aviation Security, and primarily responsible for actively engaging
aviation security stakeholders to lead and assess the impact of policies and
programs that aim to reduce the terrorism risks associated with civil aviation.
Providing security policy and program direction to ensure risk-based
implementation of the global baseline security measures for passenger and air
cargo security. Collaborate on cross-cutting topics associated with other
security risks to the industry.

Your key
responsibilities include:
  • Developing, coordinating, and formulating industry-led civil policies and programs oversight to ensure international and domestic impact and influence required to accurately address air transport security issues, processes, and programs.
  • Providing leadership and management of analysis (written and oral) to different audiences. Must have excellent writing, excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Providing a guide to industry and government partners on security policy issues, expert-level transportation security information at industry-sponsored conferences/meetings.
  • Facilitating and maintaining a network of partners for purposes of ensuring that there is current and consistent information regarding IATA policies and activities and their impact on domestic and international air transport security.
  • Handling the promotion of regulations and developing policies and supporting regulations that facilitates innovative implementation; maintaining awareness and/or knowledge of the most current, impacting and proposed innovation in the area.
  • Delivering analysis as to the efficiency of policy, programs, and adjust, as needed, to meet emerging priorities. Ensuring a risk-based policy are maintained to establish and develop security international regulations, policies and directives to reduce measurable security risk to industry. Ensuring that regular, recurring, and current aviation-related security information is shared within the IATA members, including, and other industry partners.
  • Building positive relationships between States authorities, airports and airlines to improve data-sharing and information-sharing efforts, practices and uses.
  • Support the IATA Security Consultancy service line as and when required.
We would love to hear from you if
  • Have a minimum of 10 years of
    relevant working/operational knowledge of civil aviation regulatory
    and operational frameworks, airline and/or airport security operations?
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
    and ability to present publicly?
  • Are flexible to travel and to perform under pressure
    and within variable working hours and schedules;
  • Have demonstrated skills to perform in a high-pressure,
    multicultural and international environment;
  • Are certified as aviation security auditor/inspector by
    national/regional or international recognized authorities will be greatly
    appreciated?
  • Have successfully completed an IATA Aviation Internal
    Auditor Course, IOSA Auditor Training Course, IOSA Airline Auditor Course,
    IATA, Security Audit and Quality Control Course, the ICAO AVSEC
    Professional Manager Course, or any other internationally recognized
    training and certification aviation courses.
