Job description
General Summary:

The Claims Administrator is responsible for providing superior customer service through every step of the claim process for dealers, service centers and customers. This person will have a complete understanding of claim coverage for all products and services offered by Honda Aircraft Company.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Review and adjudicate customer claims according to the time frame detailed in the Dealer Operations Manual.
  • Assist customers in navigating through the web portal to file claims, reporting aircraft and engine usage, and using the Illustrated Parts Catalog.
  • Assist customers in identifying coverage for all products and services offered.
  • Collect, document, and evaluate claim data to build and update the labor catalog.
  • Interact with other Customer Service support personnel to achieve customer, operational and business objectives.
  • May be required to attend customer service training as needed per Management.
Education, Work Experience, Certification and/or Licensure:

1. 2-year college degree, preferably in business or aviation related subject

2. 3-5 years minimum business or commercial aviation experience or warranty administration experience in a similar industry.

3. 3-5 years minimum experience in a customer service role in the aviation, automobile, or luxury product industry.

4. Preferred A&P license or strong understanding of industry standard Aircraft Maintenance practices.

5. Experience in analyzing coverage term contracts.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. Excellent verbal and writing skills.

2. Experience working in SAP.

3. Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio.

4. Ability to Multi-task.

5. Multilingual skills are desired but not required.

Physical Requirements:
  • Incumbents may be routinely exposed to equipment operational noise heat-cold-dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors?.
  • Incumbents may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, climb ladders, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
  • Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, and Federal regulations, etc.).
  • Read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
  • Comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions.
  • Effectively communicate in Business English language.
  • Pull, push, carry, lift, or move items up to 10 lbs. throughout the work shift without assistance, as required by job duties.
  • Pull, push, carry, lift or move materials/people/items/equipment weighing up to 50Ibs or more during the work shift, with the use of Company provided "reach assistance technology" or "movement assist technology" (fork-lifts, pallet jacks, pulleys, dolly's, robotics reach equipment, people movers etc.), as required by job duties.
