We have an exciting entry-level opportunity for a Safety professional with security experience at our Dulles International Airport Customer Service Center (CSC).

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise and ensure compliance with
    • Company and Airport Ramp Safety and Employee Safety initiatives
    • Regional and Corporate Security SOPs
    • Airline customer safety requirements and SOPs
  • Partner with Operations Leadership regarding employee safety issues involving but not limited to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Federal Aviation Agency (FAA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Department of Transportation (DOT); and applicable state agencies
  • Train employees on all Employee Safety, Ramp Safety, and Security SOPs
  • Conducts safety and security audits as required
  • Chair Safety Committee and conduct monthly safety meetings
  • Coordinate and ensure that all accidents are promptly investigated and corrective/preventive action is implemented and sustained
  • Partner with Operational Leadership to ensure audit readiness
Leadership
  • Guide, motivate and develop CSC staff to work safely and adhere to all Safety and Human Resources policies
  • Live the company's Values and Leadership Principles every day
  • Manage productivity and costs related to Safety and Security; initiate corrective actions in case of deviations
  • Participate and support company sponsored initiatives in the areas of Quality and Food Hygiene, Lean Manufacturing and Production Systems, and Employee/Ramp Safety and Security systems
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or in related field preferred
  • One to three years of directly related experience in operations safety and security required.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry, airport, or airline preferred
  • One to three years of supervisory experience with the ability to lead large teams.
  • Problem-solving and leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and lead others to obtain desired results & achieve productivity goals
  • Demonstrative knowledge of OSHA, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), FDA, USDA and EPA regulations
  • Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills required along with the ability to multi-task
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications
