Job description
Pridestaff on behalf ofa client is seeking for a detailed oriented candidate for aBuyer position inthe Purchasing Department.

The ideal candidate would be responsible for assisting Purchasing within the Materials Department with documentation, spreadsheets and customer service.

Create purchase orders/ repair orders for accuracy and conformance with established policies and procedures.
Obtain oral and/or written quotations from Suppliers; document competitive bidding.
Expedite orders if necessary; notify department of the expected delivery date and follow up on back orders.
Search out alternate Suppliers to establish competition and to help minimize material shortages and stock outages.
Produce customer material status reports for outstanding material.
Managing and measuring supplier performance including cost, quality and turn time.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Entry level purchasing/procurement experience
Ability to negotiate
Must have excellent follow-up and organizational skills
Quantum experience a plus
Purchasing clerk should be skilled in verbal and written communication.

Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, FAA, DOT, and State and Federal regulations.
As required by the position, must have the ability to wear a respirator as per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 "Respirator Protection" regulations with no restrictions that would prevent the proper use and/or seal of the respirator.
Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required
Employees will be subject to the random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.

Compensation: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour based upon experience. Education: High School diploma or equivalent required Experience:Minimal experience required 0-2 years. PrideStaff is an equal employer opportunity.
