SUMMARY:

The Inside Sales Representative III has a strongly-developed, specialist knowledge with regard to product, suppliers, and market competition; is proficient and competent in negotiation, analysis and market development; and is judicious in resolving complex account issues. Organization, execution and application of sales initiatives, policies and programs directly support business plans and strategic objectives in meeting annual company and individual goals. The Sale Representative III will provide support and assistance to outside sales, internal sales, operations, purchasing, quality and finance personnel, as requested; and in support of succession planning, this position mentors inside sales team members as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


?Know, unerstand and incorporate Wesco's vision, goals, culture, Sale initiatives and policies in all behavior, practice and decisions

?Develop specialist knowledge to become an "expert" in Wesco suppliers, products lines, quality standards, customer requirements, competition and markets

?Demonstrate a strong understanding of Wesco's pricing and delivery schedules

?Review, understand and respond to basic long-term pricing agreements

?Work directly with customers on a regular basis, providing timely, appropriate and accurate responses to inquiries and requests; and resolving complex account issues with urgency and efficiency

?Maintain and develop new and existing Wesco customers through professional and appropriate sales methods

?Source products when necessary based on Wesco's best practices

?Ensure adherence to customer approvals and quality requirements

?Understand and follow export compliance requirements

?Understand and utilize the internal data and information systems and Wesco Intranet to effectively perform job functions

?Provide support and assistance to Sales Branches, Internal Sales, Corporate Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Quality, Finance and other departments as needed to resolve sales related efforts

?Recognize when negotiation may produce sales opportunities and utilize effective negotiation skills to grow ad hoc business

?Participate in and practice continuous improvement and/or process improvement efforts

?Process contract bids with minimal guidance

?Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales and areas of expansion

?Train and mentor Level I and Level II Sales Representatives

?Build and follow a personal development plan through the use of Intranet tools and programs, sales training programs, self-assessment tools, and relevant training courses

?Participate in external/internal customer meetings

?Attend regular and impromptu sales meetings and company-sponsored training and events, as required

?May travel, as required


REQUIREMENTS:

?Bachelor's degree preferably within the Marketing or Supply Chain fields, or a combination of education and relevant work experience in sales, is required

?4-6 Years Direct/indirect Sales Experience required (preferably within the Aerospace Industry)

?Proven ability to work well within a team environment to produce positive results

?Experience within the electrical products industry desired

?Demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional manner and persevere through completion of tasks

?Proven ability to learn and obtain technical product details and ability to communicate requirement and specifications effectively

?Proven ability to train, motivate and mentor less experienced Sales Representatives to excellence

?Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills, with emphasis in Quality and Customer Service

?Ability to interact professionally across all levels of the organization

?Must possess a strong technical acumen to read and comprehend technical specifications and requirements

?Ability to be detailed oriented and perform basic to complex research

?Excellent organizational and time-management skills

?Excellent customer service skills with the ability to deal tactfully, confidently and ethically with both internal and external customers Strong follow-through and perseverance to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

?Proficient in the use of integrated database systems and report writing software; as well as Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel, as needed Ability to travel, as needed

?Final candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, criminal and employment background clearance
