Job description

We are looking for an inspirational and entrepreneurial leader to drive our European business forward. This is a unique and varied opportunity for a senior leader to define strategy for the region and lead an experienced and established team to execute your strategic plan. Candidates will be bi-lingual (French & English) and have extensive operations management experience from within the aviation industry.

Reporting to the Managing Director - Signature Flight Support EMEA, the role will be responsible for Signature's European Operations, including France, Italy and Germany. Through your teams you will be responsible for delivering exceptional operational results, financial performance safety, customer service, and an engaged and high performing team.

The kind of activities you will be working on will include:

+ Lead your direct reports in all aspects of operational, and personal performance and development, including their own management of teams and individuals.
+ To develop a detailed understanding of the markets and determine growth opportunities.
+ Work with the Managing Director to formulate a strategic plan for the region.
+ Develop and maintain strong relations with Airport Authorities, key industry contacts and trade union/works council members
+ Embed a culture of safety across your region.
+ Establish a culture that promotes customer loyalty.
+ Foster an environment of increased employee engagement

About You:

+ Educated to degree standard/equivalent or significant related experience, with experience in aviation management
+ Proven track record in successfully leading and growing a business or operation.
+ Experience of using detailed market knowledge and reacting to anticipated changes to maximise opportunity or minimise negative effect.
+ Established leader with proven team leadership and development experience. Experience working with works councils or trade unions would be beneficial.
+ Understand and interpret technical and financial data.
+ English, French (essential), Italian(preferred).
+ Established competencies in negotiation, customer orientation, influencing, building relationships, decision making and leading through change

The role requires the ability to work regionally and be flexible in terms of working time and travel. Occasional travel to the US will also be required.
