What is the role?
The Pre-Tactical Flight Planner will be an integral part of the new Pre-Tactical Flight Planning function within the Integrated Control Centre (ICC) reporting into the Flight Planning Manager. The Pre-Tactical Flight Planner will work closely with the ICC Flight Planning Team, the in house ICC Met Office Weather Forecaster and the Navigation Team within Flight Operations to assess potential operational disruption from a flight planning perspective and recommend actions in order to minimise disruption to the operation.
Youll work closely with the Navigation Team within Flight Operations to reduce the overall error rate and youll analyse, correct and report flight plan errors in terms of aborted calculations / IFPS rejected flight plans. As part of the role youll ensure that our passengers are flown on a network that is deemed to be safe, efficient, consistent and to the highest possible service standard (lowest possible disruption) in relation to the company business model.
