Responsibilities Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) testing of launch vehicle (Atlas V, Delta IV, Falcon 9) flight software products is accomplished through varying degrees of analysis complexity ranging from document and data review to the use of closed-loop simulations utilizing flight computer software emulators developed by Perspecta. This position requires a strong background in Software Test discipline, with experience in static and dynamic software test methodologies. Test case development and data analysis requires a system-level working knowledge of launch vehicle subsystems, general physics, and orbital mechanics. Fluency in Matlab scripting and data analysis skills are also required. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Analyze Flight Software and Mission-Specific requirements in support of Test Plan development - Verify that flight software logic is correctly implemented based on software design documentation - Verify that flight software parameters are correctly implemented based on trajectory design data - Setup and execute simulator test cases; analyze test results to validate integrated flight software performance meets requirements - Develop and maintain Matlab analysis tools - Document test results for delivery to Customer - Strict adherence to project schedules in support of Customer milestones - Work within small teams, following established procedures, to achieve project goals Qualifications Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD. The following qualifications are required: - US Citizenship - Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related engineering/scientific discipline - Minimum ten years related work experience Required work experience/skills include: - Fluent understanding of Newtonian physics and orbital mechanics - Systems-engineering level understanding of launch vehicle subsystems - Knowledgeable in Software Development Lifecycle concepts - Demonstrated capabilities in embedded real-time Software Test environment - Proficiency in Matlab scripting and data analysis - Familiarity with C++ programming language - Evidence of strong technical writing skills - Test Plans, Procedures and Reports About Perspecta What matters to our nation, is what matters to us.
