It is not a secret that since Donald Trump came to the white house, many things have changed. Government officials and administration members having a personal relation to Mr. President became a rule rather than the exception. He is seeking his personal pilot John Dunkin to become the head of an FAA. Trump has already put his bodyguard Keith Schiller to run the oval office operations, additionally, Schiller is advising the Republican National Committee for only $15 000 per month. The most often noted are Ivanka, Trump‘s daughter and his son in law, Ivanka‘s husband Jared Kushner who were a part of Trump‘s presidential campaign team and standing by his side ever since. Currently, Kushner is in charge of large swaths of U.S. policy. And they are only a couple of examples out of many positions filled with people from Trump‘s environment.
Recently, it has been reported that Trump‘s long-term personal pilot, John Dunkin, is running for the head of FAA –Federal Aviation Administration. For the fact, he has already been shortlisted together with two more candidates - Sam Graves and Dan Elwell, who is a current acting administrator of the FAA. Dunkin passed an initial interview and waiting for the verdict. But he should feel pretty confident due to the fact that the president of the United States has expressed trust in him several times and has been even citing his opinion. One of the examples is White House meeting this month with airlines executives when Trump was explaining the main flaws of modern aviation. “I have a pilot who’s a real expert,” Trump stated. Further, he added that “He said, ‘Sir, the equipment they’re putting on is just the wrong stuff.’ If we’re going to modernize our system we should be using the right equipment.’Captain John Dunkin (left)
John Dunkin has been a private president‘s pilot for nearly 30 years. During this time, he has not only been flying him to places safely but also helping with the managerial part. Dunkin was exceptionally helpful during his presidential campaign. He was in charge of transportation to 203 cities in 40 different states in less than 2 years while at the same time managing an airline and corporate flight departments.https://twitter.com/BraddJaffy/status/829720589426425856
An anonymous person from Trump‘s regime shortly summed up the situation: “He’s on the list because he’s the president’s pilot, but if he gets the job it won’t be because he’s the president’s pilot,”.
