On Sunday night, when there were only 45 minutes remaining of the 5 hour flight, a couple got up from their seats and got married. The event took place on a Southwest Airlines‘ flight from Las Vegas to Baltimore and all of the passengers and the flight crew became witnesses of a wedding thousands of feet above ground.
One of the passengers filmed as the groom and bride stood up on the opposite sides of the plane cabin. The bride made her way down the cabin aisle to the popular song „Perfect“ by Ed Sheeran. The bride held a yellow rose and the man and wife to be were dressed for the occasion. They boarded the flight in Las Vegas in a suit and a wedding dress and waited for their moment.
Later the mentioned passenger posted the video on social media, stating that even the flight attendants helped to make the wedding even more special.
“It was adorable. They had us all turn on our call lights to light up the aisle and play music,” the passenger said.
Later the pilot made his statement, too.
“They met each other four years ago and this weekend decided to make it at least another four years. They met on a Match.com date — and yes, ladies and gentleman, it really does work,” the pilot joked over the intercom. He later asked the couple to repeat their vows.Wedding
The couple were also given a wedding gift from all of the passengers. It consisted of napkins, toilet paper and straws with marriage advice to the newlyweds.
