Chengdu Tianfu International Airport, China
Airport constructions started back in 2016 and will be finished in 2019. Airport is planned to have three runways at first. But in the future three more are scheduled to be built. Expected to become the city’s main airport, Chengdu Tianfu will handle most of international flights while Chengdu Shuangliu Airport will provide the domestic ones.
It will be opened in 2020.
Beijing Daxing International Airport, China
As China have plans to develop country infrastructure, airports are one of the way they do it. With other projects, Beijing Daxing International Airport is one of the biggest projects. Now in the construction, the main terminal is scheduled to be built in the summer of 2019 and will be opened the same year.
It is believed to be the most important airport in the country.
Istanbul New Airport, Turkey
We can start to pack our bags for travel because this airport will be opened next month. The design of this airport resembles the values and traditions of the country. As the main inspiration was from mosques and historical structures.
At the moment the main airport of the country is overcrowded by passengers. Due to this fact, time after time all flights will be transfered to the new Istanbul airport with more than 300 destinations worldwide.
Official opening is on 29th of October, 2018.
New International Airport Of Mexico City, Mexico
Airport is planned to be the third biggest in the world. The architect behind is Norman Foster, who also designed new terminals for Beijing airport. What is more interesting, the constructions are happening where the lake is used to be. But it was drained when Mexico was colonised centuries ago.
Dubai Al Maktoum International Airport, UAE
Dubai develops airports and invests billions on them. Al Maktoum airport is already opened but is expanding every year. Later in 2018, airport will take over flights from Dubai International airport. In 2025 Emirates airline, one of the largest in the world, will move their base to Al Maktoum International airport.
