Brazilian pilot, Daniel Centeno's selfies are the new craze on Instagram. The pilot hangs out of the cockpit mid-flight and takes stunning airplane selfies of the views around him. People think it's a dangerous obsession but love his work nonetheless.
Cruising high above the Palm Islands in the incredible shot, Instagram user 'Pilotganso' shared the selfie with his 43,000 followers captioned “It’s already my second hometown #dubai Selfie."Daniel Centeno
The picture, which has received almost 15,000 likes, hasn’t convinced everyone. Many users were quick to figure out that the picture is a clear fake. Thankfully, the snaps are the result of Photoshop, rather than reckless (and physically impossible) stunts.
Hilariously, a number of people failed to realize the creative element of his snaps. One was saying: 'Wow...it's a dangerous shot!' while another added: 'How come this does not affect the cabin pressure or like blow your face away because of the wind speed??!!'.
Another chimed-in: 'Fake, because with pressure of air, hairs will also move and stick and camera cannot be hold with speed of plane'.
Another user, stylebynelli, added: "So happy I am not flying with this guy anyway..people do anything these days just to get likes."
But in a recent shot of him once again seemingly taken from the cockpit high above some paradise islands, he admits in his caption: 'I have to let you know that photo is fake guys, just in case.'
It's not precisely clear how Mr. Centeno manages to create the impressive shots. But it's assumed he superimposes an aerial image over a selfie taken from outside the grounded plane.
That said, a genuine cockpit image shows him flying the craft with due diligence and concentration while highlighting his love of flying.
'Getting paid doing what I love #avgeek #pilot #crewlife #aviation #goprophotograph', he captioned it.
