Embraer Unveiled Its New Phenom 300E Private Jet

The new and improved Phenom 300E was unveiled at the 2017 National Business Aviation Association conference and exhibition in Las Vegas, Nevada and now spots a designated “E” for “Enhanced” in reference to its entirely redesigned cabin.

Originally launched in 2005 and introduced to public in 2009, according to Embraer, the Phenom 300 has become one of the hottest selling jets in the world. Since 2013, Embraer says the Phenom has been the most delivered business jets in the world with more than 400 aircrafts going to customers in roughly 40 countries.

“We are very excited to introduce the Phenom 300E which sets a new standard in value and customer experience. The Phenom 300E reflects our commitment to fascinate our customers,” said Michael Amalfitano, President and CEO, Embraer Executive Jets. “With a passion for excellence, our team has been working closely with customers to bring to market yet another beautifully designed and brilliantly engineered marvel of aviation.”

The Phenom 300E has a noticeably different cabin to the earlier model. Inflight entertainment is hidden in what Embraer is calling a tech panel. But customers will perhaps most notice the extra space in the aisle.

At the back of the cabin are a divan and galley. Behind that is a lavatory complete with toilet and sink. Luggage is stored in a compartment in the tail of the aircraft. Up front, the Phenom 300E is equipped with a Prodigy Touch Flight Deck running Garmin 3000 avionics.

“It is a juxtaposition but we have made the seats larger while also making the aisle larger,” says Luciano Fros, senior vice-president marketing at Embraer Executive Jets. “There is a lot more space in the aircraft but without changing the cabin size.”

The Melbourne, Florida-built light business jet costs $9.45 million, but with custom features and optional extras, most customers pay closer to $10 million.

The first Embraer Phenom 300Es are expected to be delivered to customers in early 2018.
