It’s easy to see which airplanes belong to which company. But in the past couple of decades airlines have upped their game in terms of aircraft design. Here are the 10 best-themed planes in the world!

1. Alaska Airlines

It is one of the airlines that make many amazing themed planes. The Disney planes feature the signature ‘Disneyland’ logo and a multitude of characters including Mickey and Minnie, Goofy and the Cars crew.

2. Star Wars, All Nippon Airways

All Nippon Airways has released the R2-D2 design to fans and the plane hit the skies in the fall of 2015. This marked the first time a Star Wars character appeared on the exterior of a commercial aircraft. The plane was covered in the signature blue and silver colors of R2-D2 and featured the Star Wars logo on the side while the cockpit and front half of the plane is designed to look like the shape of the droid.

3. Hawaiian Airlines

Moana doesn’t hit theaters until November 23rd. However, Hawaiian Airlines has already debuted its first of three Airbus A330s. It was designed in collaboration with The Walt Disney Studios’ animated classic. Until March 2017, travelers flying with the Hawaii-based carrier have a chance to travel on these Moana-themed jets. One of them is already traveling on regularly scheduled domestic routes.

4. Iron Maiden’s New Boeing 747

When the iconic 747-400 arrives at any airport, it always gathers attention. But when that airplane is covered with Iron Maiden’s logo and distinctive mascot, Eddie, it causes quite the stir for plane spotters and music fans alike. Iron Maiden’s 747-400, known as Ed Force One, is traveling the globe in support of the band’s Book of Souls world tour. And at the controls in the left seat: none other than Iron Maiden’s lead singer Bruce Dickinson, who is also the chairman of Cardiff Aviation, an aviation maintenance and pilot training company in South Wales, United Kingdom.

5. Eva Air’s Hello Kitty Planes

Taiwanese carrier EVA Air made the cutest move in aviation history when they chose to partner with Hello Kitty. Boeing 777-300ER is painted with 19 characters including Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel.

6. WestJet 

More than 170 gallons of paint were used to create this Frozen-themed livery on a Boeing 737 for Canadian airline WestJet. Anna, Elsa and Olaf are all featured on WestJet’s Frozen-themed plane. It was its second collaboration with the Walt Disney Company. The tailgate of this WestJet plane is decorated with a giant Elsa and Anna, making the plane an eye-catching sight.

7. Air New Zealand

Before the premiere of the second film in The Hobbit trilogy, Air New Zealand unveiled this livery featuring images of the dragon Smaug. The 54-meter-high giant dragon logo is sprawled across both sides of the Boeing 777-300.

9. Disney Magic Plane, WestJet

This amazing plane is a collaboration of WestJet, WestJet Vacations and Walt Disney Parks & Resorts and was unveiled in December of 2013. The design boasts 36 different colors of paint and took 26 painters working round the clock over 24 days to complete the paint job.

10. Pokémon Plane, All Nippon Airways

Before Hello Kitty, there was Pokémon and All Nippon Airways were perhaps the pioneers in cartoon-themed airplanes. It not only features livery on the exterior but takes things to the next level inside. In 1998 this airline released four jets that featured many of the Pokémon Characters, both inside and out.
