Thousands of people were watching the Shoreham Air Show when Hawker Hunter plane crashed into a busy bypass, hitting at least four cars - including a wedding limousine. Footage posted online showed the jet carrying out a loop manoeuvre high in the air before smashing into the road in a huge fireball after failing to pull up in time.

Twenty people have been killed during this disaster. Pilot Andy Hill, a 51-year-old former British Airways captain, was dragged from the burning wreckage and is in a medically-induced coma in hospital. The crash happened at 1.20pm during a display at the show to mark the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
